Lloyd Carnegie caught a beautiful 6lb Silver Sea-liced Grilse,

Lloyd Carnegie with his 6lb Silver Sea-liced Grilse, fishing with his dad, David Carnegie

in The Tail of The Guay pool at 3pm on Thursday 7th July 2011.

This was the first Grilse of the season for Dalguise

and had been in the river for less than a week.

It was caught whilst harling from the boat on a pink/pearl Kynoch.

The Grilse was safely landed and returned to the river.

Again the only fish reported on the whole of the River Tay System on Thursday.

In the morning a Salmon of around 20lb was caught harling  in The Tail of The Guay Pool

and was played for a few minutes, but came off before it was landed.

There were a lot of Salmon and Grilse showing in all the pools at Dalguise yesterday. The Grilse certainly have now arrived.
