So you’ve had your hearty breakfast, and you’re all fired up and ready to get fishing. Queueing for a supermarket sandwich in your waders is not really high on your agenda. But what to do for lunch? Whether you are venturing out solo, part of a larger group or a corporate guest, let Dalguise lift the burden and round off your day with a delicious freshly prepared meal. Nothing sets off an enjoyable day at the river like the opportunity to sit around the table and laugh, discuss and review your successes and near misses over a plate of something delicious, and a glass of something interesting. Delivered to the beat and prepared to your requirements, our catering option means you can spend that wasted queueing time improving your cast and your chances of a better lunchtime tale to tell. Offering the finest local produce, we can provide anything from a simple bowl of home-made soup to a ‘serve yourself’ buffet style lunch, or an outdoor barbeque right up to a gourmet knife and fork hot meal (with napkins, and everything!). Moray and Sam will be on hand to serve (and clear up!) and all dietary needs and preferences can be catered for – contact us for more information.
FAMILIES & GROUPS
Bring your family or group of friends to Dalguise, and enjoy salmon fishing in the heart of Perthshire. Just outside of Dunkeld heading north is where you will find us, and we will warmly welcome you all ready for your day, days or week ahead on the River Tay. Our comfortable fishing lodge – described by Fishpal as ‘One of the best on the river’ – will easily accommodate a large group of anglers as well as their partners and children and of course other guests! We are able provide catering if you so request (in advance) and of course you are more than welcome to use the fully equipped kitchen to cater for yourselves and any special dietary requirements you have in your group. If a ramble in beautiful surroundings is just your cup of tea, the beat has a well maintained, easily accessible path stretching from the lodge to the southern limits with glorious views over the river and the hills every step of the way. Forage for wild raspberries and strawberries in the summer, pocket some ripe plums to snack on as you walk in the autumn, and spot our resident kingfishers and other wildlife. If your guests would like to try a spot of fishing, we can arrange additional ghillies to attend and provide tuition and support for those new to the sport or in need of a helping hand.
SYNDICATE MEMBERSHIP
Joining one of the spring or summer fishing syndicates in operation at Dalguise offers an unmissable opportunity for any keen fisher or would-be fisher. Our next available syndicate will commence in January, running till June. In total, during this period, syndicate members receive 20 days of spring fishing at nearly a 50% discount compared to fishing reserved week by week. Choose a day when you can get away from it all, and reserve your syndicate rod for that day every week throughout the syndicate period to take advantage of early season sport on the Tay. In addition to great value for money, you gain an opportunity to meet like-minded anglers, comparing notes week over week, and learning the beat intimately. The full facilities of Dalguise are on offer throughout the season, therefore no short-cuts are taken. Indeed we do our utmost to go the extra mile to look after our syndicate members, many of whom have returned year after year after year. All legal methods of fishing are available to you and as your ghillie, I will always be on hand and at your disposal. CORPORATE DAYS
These can be arranged for up to 7 anglers. Larger groups may be accommodated by arrangement . Corporate days include exclusive use of the beat, fishing cabin, the boat ( when conditions are favourable) and the services of two Ghillies. Dalguise Salmon Fishings provides an excellent venue to hold your corporate hospitality day. It is set amongst stunning scenery in Highland Perthshire, with a spectacular array of flora, fauna and wildlife. The beat extends to one and a quarter miles of double bank fishing, with well maintained river banks, providing easy access to the 9 major pools. Fishing is either from boat, bank or wading. There is a very comfortable and well appointed fishing hut overlooking the beat. Dalguise affords the perfect location for your day, with an excellent opportunity of landing a magnificent Tay Salmon. The experienced Ghillies offer a high level of customer service, and are always willing to assist in tuition for novices or technique improvements for the more experienced angler. Corporate days can be arranged from £500 – £800 per day, depending on time of year, for parties of up to seven guests.
