Malcolm Bennett caught a 6lb fresh run, sea-liced salmon on Thursday 05/05/11
Malcolm from Somerset, caught his 6lb fresh run, sea -liced silver Salmon in Sarah’s Spot ,at the bottom of The Otterstone Pool, on a size 6 Cascade.
As regulars to the beat will know, we present a Trophy every year, for the biggest fish landed during the season. Mr Malcolm Bennett, from Somerset, who landed and returned a Silver 22lb Salmon during his visit in August 2010, presently holds the Dalguise Trophy.
Angus McFadyen caught 9lb Salmon, Thursday 28th April.
The Sea-liced 9lb Salmon was caught from The Casting Platform, top of Bridge Pool, on a floating Devon Minnow, in the evening. Well done Angus.
7lb Salmon caught on Thurs 21st ,Neck of Otterstone Pool
Alistair Nellis caught a Silver, sea-liced 7ib cock Salmon on Thursday 21/04/11 in The Neck of the Otterstone Pool, in the morning on a black flying ‘c’ , well done.
9lb Salmon caught on Wednesday 20/04/11 Tail of Island
Fen Howieson caught a lovely 9lb Salmon on Wednesday 20th April 2011.
The Salmon was a fresh run, silver, sea-liced fish, weighing 9lb.
It was caught by Fen in the afternoon at The Tail of The Island.
Fen was using a floating line with a 10ft fast sinking poly leader.
The Salmon was caught on a size 6 Cascade.
Very well done Fen, congratulations.
There were quite a few Salmon showing in all the pools at Dalguise
yesterday, there seem to be more coming up the river now.
