John Cameron caught 3 Salmon on Tuesday 8th May 2012

John Cameron had a great day at Dalguise on Tuesday 8th May.

After John fishing all day it wasn’t until the evening that he caught

3 Salmon, 23lb, 21lb & 19lb. All the salmon were caught on a

Dalguise Shrimp fly in The Otterstone Pool and were all safely returned.

“What a glorious end to the day  ( there is a salmon god !!  )

I went down to the island stream, fished all the way down to the boulders just above The Otterstone and blow me a pull after a good fight, on the bank  21 lbs of silver.

After resting the fish and returning it I entered again just at The Otterstone & lengthened the line.

Blow me again thump, and I was in again and only one cast after an epic fight with a worthy opponent to the shingle.

To my surprise, it came to me and was grassed, a superb 19 lbs of shimmering silver.

I also returned this one after resting the fish. Twenty minutes passed and that was it,

I thought, but no thump and a scream of the reel, I was off again after a good battle of long and hard runs it was under my rod tip and a superb silver fish it was. I got a passing dog walker to take my happy smiling face and the third salmon of the day 23 lbs big shouldered deep silver stunner. After resting the fish was returned.

Even the osprey had a good day in front of the hut (was seen taking a trout in the afternoon)

Cheers for another red letter day on this superb beat.”
