It has been a funny week on the beat – the fish are there, there have been many takes, but nothing translating into a catch.  Sometimes it just goes that way, but frustrating as it might be, it certainly creates motivation to try ever harder.  With a busy Friday and Saturday ahead this week we’re certainly looking forward to the challenge. Till we see what our rods can achieve over the next couple of days, we’ve been redeemed from a blank slate by Dalguise regular Laimonis. Laimonis first came to Dalguise several years ago, and returned this week for his annual challenge against Scottish salmon – and instead hooked a beautiful 2lb sea-trout. There are still a couple of rods left for Saturday so book now if you want to try your hand against this week’s tricky residents.
